Dance gives younger children (2-6) the chance to dance during preschool time or after school in a creative and manageable one hour setting. Our engaging and passionate teacher has 20 years of professional teaching and performing experience and loves working with children!
We listen to music and sing songs exposing them to a wide range of nursery rhymes, popular children's music and musical theater. They will learn the basics of music rhythm, timing and dynamics. Our goal is to make connections, build confidence, self-esteem and an appreciation for music.
We incorporate Drama in both preschool and after school Drama Clubs where children learn to connect with their emotions, shed fears, take risks and learn team building skills that will help support them through life. We will learn to pantomime, think quickly on our feet with improvisation games, use focus and observation games to build a better character, sing, study a character in a scene, learn a monologue to use at an audition and dance.

In partnership with the Excelsior Parent Teacher Club our Stars and Steps Drama Club offers a 9-month program that teaches the process of auditioning, rehearsing (stage acting, dancing & singing) and performance for a musical theater production!
